Community Awareness Day
Held on April 17, 1999, Chambers Hill Community Awareness Day is our opportunity to provide Safety education and fun for the entire family on a grand scale. Attended by hundreds of people each year, Community Awareness Day offers families the opportunity to experience safety information in a carnival type setting. Plan on attending from 9 AM - 2 PM at the Chambers Hill Fire Company, 6400 Chambers Hill Road, Swatara Township.

12:00 Noon Simulated rescue by Rescue #42 and #44
2:00 PM Ground Breaking Ceremony for New Social Hall
When visiting with us at Community Awareness Day you will be able to experience the Fire Safety House, sit in a fire truck, receive a ride on our aerial unit (please bring a non-perishable food item as a donation), have your face painted, have your child's fingerprints taken by Swatara P.D., play games, win prizes, eat FREE hot dogs and FREE popcorn. The Chambers Hill Fire Company is having an ALL YOU CAN EAT Palm Sunday Ham Dinner on March 28th, 1999 from 11 am - 2 pm at the Chambers Hill Fire Company, 6400 Chambers Hill Rd, Harrisburg, PA. The dinner includes: ham, sweet potatoes, baked potatoes, beets, corn, rolls, butter, dessert, and beverage (coffee, tea, and fruit punch). The price is $6.50 for adults, $3.00 for children (5 through 12), and children under 5 are free.
